8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 15, Episode 3 was a special episode broadcast on 2 February 2018, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 15.

Acting Team Captains Joe Wilkinson and Alan Carr were the contestants, along with Sara Pascoe and Josh Widdicombe who were their teammates respectively, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Alan Carr, with the assistance of Josh Widdicombe, winning by 34 – 26 in an 7-rounder and they won a pair of Countdown space hoppers.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was Bill Bailey, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

Just before Round 5, Sara and Josh played a game called "Add Up to 130" by picking three audience members within 30 seconds each and to see if their total combined ages are close to 130. Sara won the game with the combined ages at 131 – 126, thus as she was closer to the target, five points were awarded to her team.

Interesting and notable moments from the episode are listed below:

1) During the 30 seconds in Round 1, Jimmy and Rachel attempted to knock off three Coconuts on several stands to win a Teddy Bear as a Prize. While Jimmy missed all three shots, Rachel got three and added some tricks such as spinning around and throwing backwards to annoy Jimmy further. She would hold on to that bear for the remainder of the show.

2) During the 30 seconds in Round 3, an announcement came on saying the vehicle number "B1G BOY" was blocking the way, to which Jimmy drove the mini-car around the centre of the studio and "crashing" it off stage after the declarations were given.

3) After Round 4 was over, Josh remarked that Alan "pissed" himself, only to be caught squirting water at him using one of his glasses he used as the props. Also, Josh reached the target eventually but as the time was up, no points were awarded.

4) Just before the third Teaser, Bill read stupid excerpts from a book about how to play the banjo which lead up to him performing the banjo itself.

5) During the 30 seconds in Round 6, Jimmy went to the centre of the studio and juggled three knives before flopping at the end resulting in one knife getting "pierced" into his head.

NOTE 1: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.

NOTE 2: This episode was originally supposed to be broadcast on 26 January 2018. However, due to Jimmy's sarcastic remarks about Sara being a vegan during the Introduction coupled with the controversy surrounding Channel 4's remarks on Instagram associating vegans with ASSWIPE in Episode 6745 on the week the former was supposed to air, it was swapped with the preceding episode.
