Episode Cats14, billed as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 3, Episode 4 was a special episode broadcast on 24 January 2014, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 3.
8 Out of 10 Cats regulars Jon Richardson and Sean Lock were the contestants, along with Dara Ó Briain and Sharon Horgan who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.
The match saw Jon Richardson, with the assistance of Sharon Horgan, winning by 29 – 28 in an 8-rounder and they won his and hers Countdown underwear.
Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician, and Joe Wilkinson helped her out from Round 5 onwards. The Dictionary Corner guest was Adam Buxton, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
NOTE: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.
Richardson's declaration in Round 5 was sampled for the opening titles of Dave's Meet the Richardsons, a sitcom which starred Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont.
