Episode Cats60, billed as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 9, Episode 5 was a special episode broadcast on 31 March 2016, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 9.

8 Out of 10 Cats regulars Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were the contestants, along with Katherine Ryan and David Mitchell who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Sean Lock, with the assistance of Katherine Ryan, winning by 38 – 32 in an 7-rounder and they won a Countdown snooker table.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was Nick Helm, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

Just before Round 5, Katherine and Jon played a game called "Add Up to 140" by picking three audience members within 30 seconds each and to see if their total combined ages are close to 140. Jon won the game with the combined ages at 134 – 179, thus as he was closer to the target, five points were awarded to his team.

In Round 3, the letters were selected at random by Rachel as Sean did not specify what he wanted. In the process, the last third letter drawn was originally a Q, but was thrown out by Rachel as it was an unusual letter and was replaced by an A. Had that not happened, the maximum in any case would have only been worth eight points.

In Round 6, the clock music was replaced with a remix of that with Sandstorm by Darude, while Jimmy pretended to be a DJ, which then was accompanied with several dancers coming onto the set to dance. The music then ended with a repeating low-pitch loop of the final few seconds of the former.

NOTE: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.
