De Mooi is a serial quiz show contestant, and has won Fifteen to One and The Weakest Link (both in 2000), 100% (2001), and has been a Mensa chess champion. He has also appeared on Number 1, Beat the Nation and No Win, No Fee. Since 2003, He has become most well-known as one of the Eggheads on the BBC quiz of the same name. He originally left Eggheads in 2012 before returning in 2014, and left for the second time in 2016.
