Mark Labbett

Mark Labbett was a contestant in Series 42.

A serial quiz show contestant, Labbett has also appeared on University Challenge in 1996/1997, Mastermind in 1999 and 2000, Stake Out in 2001 (in the same game as Keith Pottage), Grand Slam in 2003, BrainTeaser in 2004, SUDO-Q in 2005, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2005 and 2006, The National Lottery People's Quiz in 2007 (where he was runner-up), Are You an Egghead? in 2008 (losing to fellow Chaser, Jenny Ryan), and was part of the "Rugby Boys" team who won the second series of Only Connect in 2009.

Also in 2009, he became one of the two original "Chasers" in the ITV quiz show The Chase, and has continued this role ever since in the UK, as well as being the sole Chaser on the US version from 2012 to 2015, and as one of six on the Australian version from 2016. In 2021 he joined the US version for the second time being one of four Chasers along with the three Jeopardy! GOAT contestants but left the show again after one season.
