Rebecca Daykin was an accompanying guest for series 61 finalist Ryan Taylor. She made an appearance on Countdown on 16th November 2009 as an applauding member of the audience for the Ryan Taylor versus Ryan Vickers match. She is perhaps best known as a pig lover, despite having eaten a sausage roll on the morning of the show. Other notable items of discussion include her distaste for fudge yet enjoys pate. An urban myth is that Rebecca Daykin applied for the presenter's job after Carol Vorderman left, these allegations were crushed by Rebecca, claiming that she "hates maths".
Outside of Countdown, Rebecca enjoys being beaten on facebook scrabble by Ryan Taylor, despite having one victory against her name, won in controversial circumstances when Ryan played badly because he felt "unwell".
