Revision as of 01:07, 3 July 2019
The second Calendar Countdown pilot was a pilot episode never transmitted, but it did feature Series 1 contestants Joyce Cansfield and Christine Jones, as well as Ian Penny and Alec Buchanan. The next contestant would help Ted Moult in Dictionary Corner. Therefore, Penny helped Ted Moult during the match between Cansfield and Jones. The game was six rounds. After Jones was beaten by Cansfield, Buchanan replaced Penny in Dictionary Corner.
Rounds
- Only the contestant who selected got the points, unless beaten by the other contestant.
- All letters games had 8 letters.
- The episode featured one complete game, plus the first 2 letters rounds of another game.
Changes from Episode CCP1 included the extension of the second letters game to 45 seconds, the abolition of the buzz-as-quick-as-you-can-with-a-word round, and the abolition of the "pre-selected word" round. Therefore, the structure of the games in this pilot as was follows:
Rounds 1 and 2 = Letters game, 45 seconds.
Round 3 = Numbers game, 45 seconds.
Round 4 = Letters game, 30 seconds.
Round 5 = Numbers game, 45 seconds.
Round 6 = Letters game, 30 seconds.
