Dan McColm played George Ford, with Dan McColm winning 123 – 77. The Dictionary Corner guest was David Baddiel, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
McColm's max game was only the tenth in the history of Countdown, and the first to be achieved in the "new" 15-round format.
