David Edwards was a contestant in Series 88. He was a highway engineer from Derbyshire. He collects road signs and would like to visit every US state.

Edwards first appeared on 6 July 2023, winning his first match with 85 points against Adrian Clarke. From here, he won a further 6 games, with a personal best of 115 points in his 7th game. However, he was defeated by Ian Watson in his eight match, missing out on becoming the first octochamp of the series. Despite this, Edwards eventually qualified for te series finals in December 2023 as the number 8 seed, with 700 points.
