Nouns ending in -O are generally pluralised by adding an -S. A small number of exceptions to this exist, which are listed below.

-ES only

  • MOSQUITO, RENEGADO.
  • BEEFALO, BUFFALO, EMBARGO, TORPEDO, UNDERGO.
  • BLANCO, CALICO, DOMINO, FOREDO, FOREGO, OVERDO, POTATO, STUCCO, TOMATO.
  • CISCO, FATSO, FORDO, FORGO, GESSO, JINGO, OUTDO, OUTGO, SCHMO.
  • BUBO, ECHO, EDDO, HERO, REDO, SHMO, VETO.
  • GO, JO, NO.

-ES and -S

Note that some of these, like ZERO, take -ES in the verb form and -S in the noun form; but for the purposes of the game this is just as useful.

  • FANDANGO, FLAMINGO, INNUENDO, INTAGLIO.
  • GAMBADO, MEMENTO, MULATTO, PORTICO, TORNADO, VOLCANO, WENDIGO, WINDIGO.
  • DRONGO, ERYNGO, FRESCO, GHETTO, GINGKO, GINKGO, GROTTO, HONCHO, INDIGO, PEDALO, TUXEDO, VIRAGO, WHACKO.
  • BANJO, BILBO, BONGO, BRAVO, BUCKO, BUNCO, CARGO, DILDO, DINGO, DISCO, FUNGO, GECKO, HALLO, HELLO, HULLO, JUNCO, KIDDO, LASSO, LINGO, LITHO, MAMBO, MANGO, MOTTO, PHOTO, PINKO, RADIO, SALVO, SAMBO, TANGO, VIDEO, WACKO, YOBBO.
