30th Birthday Championship
From Countdown
The Countdown 30th Birthday Championship will be filmed in late 2012 and early 2013 and broadcast in 2013 to celebrate thirty years of Countdown. Over 200 past contestants applied to take part; 41 were selected by producer Damian Eadie to participate. Nine preliminary games will narrow the field to 32 contestants, who will then compete in a straight knockout for the championship.
