8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 16, Episode 4 was a special episode broadcast on 3 August 2018, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 16. This was also the 100th Episode of this format of the show as well.

Regulars Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were the contestants, along with 8 Out of 10 Cats regular Rob Beckett and Claudia Winkleman who were their teammates respectively, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Jon Richardson, with the assistance of Claudia Winkleman, winning by 47 – 37 in an 7-rounder and they won a pair of Countdown hula hoops.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was Nick Mohammed (portraying his alter ego Mr. Swallow), and the lexicographer was Susie Dent. Joe Wilkinson also made a special appearance on the show, assisting Rachel in placing the letters for Rounds 5 and 6.

Interesting and notable moments from the episode are listed below:

1) During the Introduction, in the style of Who Do You Think You Are?, Sean introduced his "family members" through a flipchart with not only glaring errors, but also photoshopped photos of himself.

2) During the 30 seconds in Round 1, Jimmy got a tattoo with Susie's face and the words "I Love Clock", to which shortly after Susie revealed a tattoo with Jimmy's face and the words "He's Got a Tiny Clock".

3) In Round 4, the numbers were not chosen randomly and instead, at Claudia's insistence, the numbers were shown before the decision to place it up on the board was taken. Also, despite Rob and Claudia admitting that Sean and Jon who were both not playing were the ones that obtained the solutions, points were still given at Jimmy's discretion.

4) A bear mascot accompanied Joe when he came out just before Round 5 which "explains" the latter's tattered and "bloody" appearance. Also, when he invited the bear to sit down alongside Dictionary Corner in Round 6, it went out of control.

5) In Round 5, as Joe wanted to spell out TESTICLES, after seeing letters that did not fit into the word or were out of order, he either threw them out or placed them where they should be. Furthermore, Jon called out ten letters instead of the maximum nine, resulting in the first T being replaced.

NOTE 1: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.

NOTE 2: In Round 3, Jon's offering of POINTAGE should have been allowed as it is in the ODO. Thus, the final score should have been 30 – 55.
