Episode Cats27, billed as Christmas Special 2014 was a special episode broadcast on 29 December 2014, as part of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 6. This was the inaugural Christmas Special the show had produced.

8 Out of 10 Cats regulars Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were the contestants, along with Kathy Burke and David Baddiel who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.

The match saw Jon Richardson, with the assistance of David Baddiel, winning by 38 – 28 in a 7-rounder and they won his and hers Countdown swimwear.

Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician, and Joe Wilkinson helped her out from round 5 onwards. The Dictionary Corner guest was Alex Horne & the Horne Section, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
