8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Series 6, Episode 8 was a special episode broadcast on 3 July 2015, as part of 8 out of 10 Cats Mash-ups Series 6.
8 Out of 10 Cats regular Sean Lock and guest captain Sarah Millican (sitting in for Jon Richardson) were the contestants, along with Roisin Conaty and Rhod Gilbert who were their teammates, while Jimmy Carr reprised his role as the host.
Just before round 5, Carr brought out Rachel Riley and Susie Dent to help the teams out, with Millican choosing to take Dent, giving Riley to Lock and Conaty. During her 23 years on the show, this was the first time Dent had ever competed as a contestant.
The match saw Sean Lock, with the assistance of Roisin Conaty and Rachel Riley, winning by 44 – 22 in a 7-rounder.
Rachel Riley was, as ever, the arithmetician. The Dictionary Corner guest was David O'Doherty (who also took over from Riley and Dent in their roles for rounds 5 and 6), and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.
NOTE: In this version, both players' declarations were allowed, although points were only awarded for the best answer.
