The 8 out of 10 Cats Mash-ups are a series of special episodes that first began on 2 January 2012.

The show was originally shown as part of a "Mash-Up" series celebrating Channel 4's 30th birthday in 2012. The show is a fusion of the shows, Countdown and 8 out of 10 Cats. It has so far had 4 shows broadcast, and following the success of these 4 episodes, a 4-episode series was commissioned by Channel 4 in June 2013.

8 out of 10 Cats Do Countdown was broadcast on 2 January 2012 as a match between the 2 team captains of 8 out of 10 Cats, Sean Lock and Jon Richardson. The show's usual host, Jimmy Carr, was the presenter, with Joe Wilkinson in Dictionary Corner with Susie Dent.

8 out of 10 Cats Do Countdown was broadcast on 24 August 2012 as a rematch between the 2 team captains of 8 out of 10 Cats, Sean Lock and Jon Richardson. This time, the captains had helpers for part of the match. Lock had past contestant Clarke Carlisle and Rachel Riley (for one numbers game), while Richardson had Joe Wilkinson, who also appeared as the first male arithmetician in the show's history. The show's usual host, Jimmy Carr, was the presenter again, with David O'Doherty in Dictionary Corner with Susie Dent.

The show's usual host, Jimmy Carr, will be the presenter again, with Tim Key in Dictionary Corner with Susie Dent, and Joe Wilkinson helping out Rachel Riley as arithmetician again.

8 out of 10 Cats Do Countdown 3 was broadcast on 19 April 2013 as a two vs. two match between Lee Mack and Richard Osman vs. Jon Richardson and Stephen Mangan. The show's usual host, Jimmy Carr, was the presenter again, with Henning Wehn in Dictionary Corner with Susie Dent, and Joe Wilkinson helping out Rachel Riley as arithmetician again.
