Series 9 of the 8 out of 10 Cats Mash-ups began on 5 August 2016 and ended on 30 December 2016. There was also a Christmas 2016 Special just before the finale which was the 2016 End-of-Year Special. This series was notable in that Sean Lock and Jon Richardson were not seen together for majority of the episodes due to their individual tours and conflicting schedules.
