Barry Norman (1933-2017) was a guest on Countdown. He was a film critic (known for presenting Film... on BBC One), journalist and pickle manufacturer. Really, he was. He invariably managed to get the phrase "nepotism is alright, as long as you keep it in the family" into his monologues at some point during the week.

Norman sadly died in London on 30 June 2017.
