A '''century''' is an occurrence of a player scoring 100 points. This was never achieved in the 9 round format as it required the players to find at least 3 nine letter words in the 6 letters rounds available. However before the 15 round era, centuries were possible in 14 round games. Centuries have become relatively common in 15 round games.
