It took place just before the start of Series 60, with players from Series 55, 56, 57, 58 and 59 taking part mainly, although one of the contestants, Jon Corby, was from Series 54 and did not participate in the the champion of champions event that followed suit. Craig Beevers, the series 57 champion and favourite for the tournament, declined his invitation.
