Chris Colsmann was the runner-up of Series 30. He beat Maggie Desogus in his first appearance by virtue of a sudden-death conundrum, and won a further three games before losing at the hands of Kate Leckie. Chris returned for the final stages as #8 seed, but that didn't stop him as he comfortably beat #1 seed Graham Cross in the quarter-finals and Martin Linden in the semi-finals to set up a rare grand-final occurrence of #7 vs #8 seed against Verity Joubert. In the final, Chris was outclassed by Verity, and had to settle for second-best. Chris returned for Championship of Champions VIII, but was beaten in the first round by Kenneth Michie.
