David Ballheimer was a semi-finalist from series 42. He made his debut on 14 February 2000, beating Daniel Vanniasingham before racking up another seven wins and an aggregate score of 474 to become an octochamp and the #1 seed for the series. David beat Jim Ainsworth in a close game in the quarter-final, but lost to John Hastings in the semi-final. David returned for Championship of Champions XI, but lost to eventual winner Graham Nash in the first round.
