Dr Phil Hammond is a guest on Countdown, who has quickly become one of the most recognisable. He's both a practising GP and a comedian, appearing several times on Have I Got News for You and writing a column in satirical magazine Private Eye. He can also be found as a guest character on Apterous.
In some of Hammond's appearances during the final week of Series 74, his guest anecdotes between Rounds 6 and 7 were omitted, as he was supporting the junior doctors' union.
