Episode 1401

From Countdown
Revision as of 20:29, 13 May 2017 by Launchballer (talk | contribs) (might be worth adding a little bit of context)

Episode 1401 was broadcast on 15 July 1993, as part of Series 26.

Chris Feetenby played Steven Draper, with Chris Feetenby winning 38 – 37. The Dictionary Corner guest was David Jacobs, and the lexicographer was Richard Samson.

There was a notable out-take in this episode which involved Richard Whiteley calling Steven's surname incorrectly as "Gately" at the end of the show.[1] At the time, a pre-fame Boyzone were touring pubs and clubs, and he may have been confusing him with the late Stephen Gately, who was part of that band.
