In Round 7, when Carol Vorderman was placing the word AIRLIFTS on the board, the T tile fell off, leaving it displayed as AIRLIF S. A clip of this amusing incident was rebroadcast in the retrospective A Tribute to Countdown: 3000 and Counting.
