Andrew Bruno played Christine Jones, with Christine Jones winning 49 – 42. The Dictionary Corner guest was Kenneth Williams, the lexicographer was Mary, and the arithmetician was Carol Vorderman.

NOTE: Jones's declaration of SEIVING was initially allowed after Williams misheard her spelling, with the actual spelling, SIEVING, being valid, but Williams reversed his decision after Round 8. This meant that Bruno was awarded 5 points despite not actually declaring his word, which may have been invalid.
