Kenneth Michie played Chris Rogers, with Chris Rogers winning 71 – 49. The Dictionary Corner guest was Nigel Rees, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

Of note, in round 13, CECIL generated a target of 100, resulting in the CoC final's last numbers game being extremely easy. Since this game, 100 has never appeared as the target again; it was most likely eliminated, possibly due to this incident.

By winning this final, Chris Rogers advanced to the quarter-final stages of the Supreme Championship.
