Kirk Bevins played Peter Bennett, with Kirk Bevins winning 130 – 55. The Dictionary Corner guest was Dr Phil Hammond, and the lexicographer was Susie Dent.

This was the first 15-round game in which a contestant had already achieved a century score prior to the second advert break.

NOTE 1: In Round 6, Dictionary Corner did not note that Bennett's offering of GRINDER was invalid, as there was only one R in the selection. However, this proved irrelevant as Bevins offered a longer word anyway.
