Episode 712
From Countdown
Revision as of 22:16, 29 June 2017 by JohnnyCanuck (talk | contribs)
Episode 712 was broadcast on 15 April 1988, as part of Series 15.
Allan Saldanha played Antony Stafford, with Allan Saldanha winning 60 – 24. The Dictionary Corner guest was Clement Freud, and the lexicographer was Julia Swannell.
NOTE: Saldanha's declaration of CLOAKS in Round 7 should have been scored (in the same round Stafford was disallowed the invalid word LACKIES, due to incorrect spelling, as it should be LACKEYS). Neither of these errors affected the outcome of the game, but the final score should have been 66 – 24.
