Eric Wright was a contestant in Series 51, mainly remembered for his score of 123, including three nines. However he lost his very next game to Chris Brown, and with only three wins, did not make the finals.

123 is the one of the highest scores ever recorded by a player who did not go on to reach the finals, second only to Frank Mulvey's 133.
