Graham Nash (25 December 1979-) first appeared on Countdown on July 20 2000, beating the Edinburgh Countdown Club's Melanie Beaumont in his first game 60-49. He polished off seven more contestants on the way to becoming an octochamp, and returned for the final rounds as the number two seed. He defeated Matthew Turner in the grand final, which was broadcast on Christmas Day 2000- Graham's 21st birthday. Graham returned in 2003 for Championship of Champions XI, where, after beating three tough opponents in the varying shapes of David Ballheimer, Julian Fell (in what was seen as Episode 3401) and Tom Hargreaves, he faced Chris Wills in what was dubbed a 'dusty carpet' final- meaning that neither player had been beaten. Eventually, after neither player unravelled the crucial conundrum, it was Graham who emerged the winner 79-73.

Graham has since appeared on such shows as Brainteaser and Grand Slam, displaying his taste for colourful shirts that was first made clear during his Countdown appearances.
