Keith Pottage was a contestant in Series 18. He was a freelance writer from Wakefield. In addition to his aoppearance on Countdown, Keith was the runner up in the first-ever episode of Coutdown's former sister show Fifteen-To-One in January 1988, and in December 2003 he won a heat in the final series of Fifteen-To-One, but failed to make it to the Grand Final.

He also worked extensively as a writer and researcher on a number of other television series in the UK over the years.
