Mary (possibly Mary Craig, although her surname was never given) was the first ever lexicographer. She was the first woman to appear on Channel 4, unbeknown to many, who think that Carol Vorderman was the first woman. In fact, a glimpse of Mary is shown when Ted Moult introduces his "assistant". She appeared throughout Series 1 and may possibly have appeared in Series 2 as well.
