Neil in 2005, winning the London Scrabble League's highest word of the season prize for playing the word PRATIQUE for 203.

Neil Stein was a contestant in Series 7. He was a 55-year-old accountancy lecturer from Birchington, Kent, and once represented England at the ancient Japanese game "Go".

Neil has also appeared on Fifteen-to-One and spent 11 weeks on BBC2's Crossword on Two.

Neil died from cancer on 11/5/2015 aged 85 [1].
