Penny Downer was a contestant in Series 21.
Fifteen years later, she attended the Co-event CoBris 2006. She is also a Scrabble expert.
In 2008, Downer appeared in the first series of Only Connect as part of the "Solent Scrabblers" team, with fellow Scrabblers Elisabeth Jardine and Noel Turner. They played the "Edinburgh Scrabblers" Alan Sinclair, Melanie Beaumont and Simon Gillam in their heat game.
