He also hosted Face the Clock, a short-lived game show that followed Countdown in the schedules in 2013.

Twelve years before his debut in Dictionary Corner, Bremner had made a cameo appearance, in character as then Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, selecting the letters in Episode 4473, to celebrate the 25th birthday of Countdown.
