Rupert Stokoe was a contestant in series 47, where he beat Tony Harding in his first game with an impressive score of 117. He eventually became an octochamp, and returned for the series finals as number 5 seed, where he beat Wendy Roe in the quarter-finals before succumbing to Chris Wills in the semi-final 118-78.

Rupert returned for Championship of Champions XI, beating Grace Page in the first round after a crucial conundrum, but losing to series 45 champion John Rawnsley in the quarter-finals.
