Hi, I'm a recapper at Countdown and I love the show very much as it has plenty of educational purposes. Also like the 8 out of 10 Cats Version even though it's more crude and more comedic in nature to the point we all get distracted! I am currently the main recapper for the latter here! :P
Honestly, I recap more than join in to play the game live on TV and actually play more of the Numbers Round than the Letters Round to improve my mental calculations (But at the same time find new words which I've never heard before or if I see it on TV, risk it and I've made some successful ones.) I have been watching Countdown since 2013 but only joined in January 2017 when Series 76 was airing after discovering this website and looking back at episodes which I found memorable!

I am currently doing a massive revamp of the entire 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown Episodes from Series 1 to 15 which started on 1 April 2018, including regrouping of Episodes into the Correct Series after Channel 4 classified the Series after five years in late 2017, correcting the Maxes for Words for episodes under the ODO era since 30 June 2014, formatting for Numbers in Episodes from 2016 to Early-2018 plus cleaning up the 8/10 Contestants Pages from top to bottom so do expect a lot of editing in the next few months.
I will be editing four episodes per week, two at a time unless otherwise stated. Unless 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown is on that week OR should I be busy, expect only two and no episode respectively to be edited for that week.
As of 21 September 2018, 84/104 Episodes have been revamped. Due to upcoming tests and examinations, I will temporarily halt the editing process for the remaining 20 episodes until mid-October 2018. However, this does not mean I will completely stop. I will also take this time to categorise the edited episodes properly now that more than 80% of episodes are properly classified on the Wiki. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
