Operation "Clear Wanted Pages"
If you can help with clearing Wanted Pages, then do so. This is effectively an index of red links, so axing as many as possible would be ideal.
These are roughly in several categories:
People
Mostly from Co: events, it may be worth adding them with the Category Category:People who have not appeared on Countdown. If their co-event name is a pseudonym, create the page but do not add the category. It's a pseudonym for a reason - DO NOT REVEAL THEIR IDENTITY.
Co-events
These need a skeleton article if nothing else.
- Completed - all co-events now have a skeleton page. Please feel free to markup.
Co-event "episodes"
If recap not available (very unlikely), then remove the red link from the series-link template on the adjoining games.
Online tournaments and "episodes"
These are a legacy of pre-Apterous's tourney system when the Wiki was the only way of recording them (myself included here, guilty as charged). Either redirect to the tourney mainpage or to Apterous.
Deliberate red links
Links like Gatwick Airport appear solely in pages such as Countdown:About, so do not touch.
Featured Articles
I'm hoping to reinstate Scott Mearns to the front page, Harvey Freeman too. I would also like to see new featured articles for 2021 and would like to mark-up Gary Woodward at some point.
Template roll-outs
Template:Octostats (completed 30 May 2020), Template:Notasked, and Template:Wronglyallowed (completed 10 September 2020) should be rolled out to octochamps and episodes, asap.
Catsdown
I am firmly and squarely of the view Catsdown pages should be moved to an Episode prefix as per the rest of the wiki. If I find the time, I will start to move these pages as I believe they should be, although there must be a discussion to agree on a new destination: "Episode CatsXX" would be my preference.
