'''Countdown in Braintree 2023''' is an upcoming [[co-event]] to be hosted by [[Jeff Clayton]] on 4 November 2023 as the sixteenth and final preliminary round of the [[2023 FOCAL season]].

It will be held at St Michael's Church House in the town of Braintree in Essex, where attendees will play five [[14 round format|14-round games]] in the Bristol format, alternating with rounds of "The Big Weekend Quiz": a format Clayton has devised for pub quizzes he regularly presents.
