Tony Loui was a viscount in and the champion of Series 2 of Letters and Numbers.
Loui began his run on 13 April 2011, deposing two-time champion Tom Fooks and started his next game with the nine-letter word MECHANIST. He amassed six wins and 342 points to become the #1 seed of Series 2; true to the formbook, he returned for the finals and defeated Jack Dell, Oli Bryant and Matthew Thomason to emerge as the second winner of the show's grand prize.
In 2012, Loui reappeared on Letters and Numbers to participate in its "Masters" series, a close equivalent to a Countdown Championship of Champions. Here, however, he was ironically defeated in the quarter-final by his opponent from the Series 2 final Matthew Thomason after the crucial conundrum.
