Kathryn Apanowicz was a guest on Countdown. She was Richard Whiteley's partner for many years as well as being an actress on Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale.
Other than her appearance in One Last Consonant Please, Carol, she never returned to the show after Whiteley's death.
Apanowicz sadly passed away on 3 March 2025, virtually twenty years after Whiteley's death.
