Sheila Mann played David Myerscough, with Sheila Mann winning 52 – 50. The Dictionary Corner guest was Kenneth Williams.

Round 2, the first recorded instance of a 9 letter word being achievable from the letter selection, was immediately followed by a Round 3 in which the longest possible word was just 4 letters, the lowest on record at the time, and still one of the lowest today.
