Baroness Floella Benjamin was a guest presenter of Countdown. She hosted the week of episodes that were broadcast on the show’s 40th anniversary.
Benjamin is best known as a presenter of children's programmes such as Play School and Play Away. She was also introduced to the House of Lords in 2010, after the Liberal Democrats nominated her as a life peer.
Benjamin is the only presenter of standard Countdown episodes that never gave out Teatime Teasers. During her five episodes, the Teasers were replaced by clips of vintage episodes of the show instead.
