Steve Cram CBE (nicknamed as "The Jarrow Arrow") is a guest on Countdown. He is a track-and-field coach, and BBC athletics commentator. Formerly as an athlete, Cram set records in middle-distance running during the 1980s. He is the first person known to have ran 1,500 metres in under 3 and a half minutes. He won the 1,500m World Championship gold in 1983, and Olympic silver in the same distance in 1984.
