Bobby Seagull is a guest on Countdown. He is a broadcaster, writer and maths teacher. He rose to fame as a contestant on University Challenge who served as captain for Emmanuel College, Cambridge during the 2016-17 series.
Seagull was famously a rival of Eric Monkman of Wolfson College, Cambridge on University Challenge. The teams played against each other in the semi-final, with Monkman’s side winning. Monkman and Seagull have since become friends and have worked together on radio, television and books.
