Alison Heard is a lexicographer who first appeared on Countdown in Series 49. She has made 120 appearances in Dictionary Corner, the last being in Series 58. Her longest run came during 2007's Series 57 in which she replaced Susie Dent for much of the series, including the finals, due to Dent's pregnancy. She was also the lexicographer for the 25th anniversary episode.
