Christine White, a maths examination marker from Sittingbourne in Kent, was the runner-up of Series 37. She beat Ruth Collier in her first appearance and racked up 3 more wins before losing at the hands of Ricky Zinger. Had Christine won that game, her next opponent would have been her husband, Ledger.Returning for the finals stage as #4 seed, she beat Mark Wyndham-Jones in the quarter-final and Kate Surtees in the semi-final before losing the final to Ray McPhie after neither player managed to unscramble the crucial conundrum.
