Sir Clement Freud (1924-2009) was a guest on Countdown. Besides being a former Liberal MP and restaurant critic, he was perhaps most famous as a game show panellist, especially on BBC Radio 4's Just a Minute.

He died on 15 April 2009, aged 84. Had he lived, he would have been subject to allegations of child sexual abuse in 2016; it is unlikely that episodes featuring him will be repeated.
