Countdown in St Albans or CoStAl, as it was commonly known, was the name of an annual Co-Event held in the city of St Albans between 2014 and 2016?

2014

The first event, CoStAl, was held at The County Club in St Albans, on Saturday 12 July 2014. It was run by James Robinson, Jeff Clayton and Rob Gibney. The winner of the event was Series 66 champion Jack Worsley, who beat Series 69 champion Callum Todd 94 – 88 in the final.

2015

The second event, CoStAl2, was held at The County Club in St Albans, on Saturday 27 June 2015. It was again run by James Robinson, Jeff Clayton and Rob Gibney. The winner of the event was Matthew Brockwell, who beat Series 72 champion Tom Cappleman 96 – 91 in the final.

2016

Countdown in St. Albans was a FOCAL tournament that took place on Saturday 2nd July 2016. It was hosted by Series 49 and Series 60 contestant James Robinson and Series 51 and Des chiffres et des lettres contestant Jeff Clayton. 27 players attended the tournament, which was won by FOCAL creator Zarte Siempre. Four players came to their first ever event: Tom Conlon, Martin Hurst, Bertrand Adam, and Jon Elmer.
