Episode 3387 was broadcast on 18 December 2002, and was a semi-final of Series 48.

Danny Hamilton played Julian Fell, with Julian Fell winning 146 - 77. The Dictionary Corner guest was Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, and the lexicographer was Richard Samson. Fell's score of 146 remains the highest score ever achieved on Countdown, and this is the first (and to date only) time that a contestant has got 4 nines in a single game.
